In terms of insomnia, it can be divided into 4 types as follows:

Onset Insomnia

This type of insomnia can be short-term or chronic. The most common causes of this stage of insomnia are psychiatric problems, including accumulated stress, anxiety, or possibly depression.

Maintenance Insomnia

Insomnia is a condition in which we are unable to sleep for a long time and wake up regularly in the middle of the night. This type of insomnia not only makes us not get enough rest, but also makes us have a bad sleep cycle. This condition can be caused by health problems such as sleep apnea, asthma, and other respiratory diseases.

Acute Insomnia

Acute insomnia is a short-term insomnia that can last from 2-3 days to 2-3 weeks. This is the most common type of insomnia because this type of insomnia occurs when faced with stressful events, as well as other environmental problems such as discomfort, illness, or being in an unfamiliar environment, etc.

Chronic Insomnia

  1. Physical health factors 

Physical health factors can affect many people with underlying medical conditions, including:

  • Respiratory disorders such as snoring , sleep apnea , sleep twitching, and sleepwalking
  • Have heart disease, such as coronary artery disease or heart failure.

  1. Mental health factors 

Mental health factors that may seem insignificant to sleep, but can actually cause sleep disturbances and wake up during the night include:

  • There is accumulated stress and anxiety.
